Depending on the size of your home, you may be unloading only one truck and as many as four. This delivery is only one truck, with trusses arriving at a later time, usually just in time to set in place for the roofing to begin.

With the trusses in place, the sheathing can be put down.
Windows and doors are almost the last thing to be done.   Each opening will be  prepared for setting the window.
Some contractors prefer to prepare each opening as it is created, but it is acceptable either way.
This 'ranch' style home, is called the "Stratford" and provides for a two-car garage and large den - recreation area in the basement, three bedrooms on the main floor and a cathedral ceiling over the living room and dining area.
A little site work goes a long way to making this house a home, even before the finishing touches are done.
The delivery of this home was late April - These pictures are the first week of June, with only 15 work days available due to rainy conditions.  This included the foundation, which had not been done at the time of delivery.
The Stratford...  'Raised Ranch'
This is a modified Cape style of approximately 1200 square feet.  The owner removed one upstairs bedroom to make way for a lofty cathedral ceiling.  They also rearranged the suggested interior layout to accommodate access to the front & back 'rocking chair' porches which are a full length feature of both eaves of this home. The upstairs dormer was extended to not only accommodate a roomy master bathroom, but to enlarge an already spacious master bedroom.
A peak around the 'front' gable end reveals the wrap-around deck that connects the front & back porches.  Preparation has been made for the chimney chase (between the fixed- glass trapezoid windows) for the woodstove in the living room.
This is also a great view of a classic 'walk-out' basement.  The slope of the land allowed for this alternate entry into the basement area of the home.  This additional living space has provided for the ultimate mudroom entry without additional construction or costs.  Plans included eventual bath and laundry facilities and gave this home additional living space without increasing the size of the home itself.
